Porcelain veneers usually require 2 dental visits, with little or no anesthesia. The teeth may be prepared by lightly buffing or shaping the surface. The veneers are prepared in the laboratory, after the shape and colour is decided. The veneer is then fixed on the teeth using bonding cement and a special light beam to harden the bond.
Composite veneers are more cost effective and less invasive, but as they require more manual work, they are more open to human errors.
